Sabrina Crow Moves up the Ladder at Nielsen

Congratulations to Sabrina Crow for being named senior vice president at the marketing group at Nielsen. She moves up in the wake of the departure of Mike Parker.

This move brings to mind two seperate situations.

1. John Lerner, a digital executive directuly under digital head Linda McCutcheon, also left Nielsen this week. So far, the company has not found a new CEO since the tragic and untimely passing of Bob Krakoff. Sources at the company are reluctant to talk about it. But what I’m seeing here is a top talent drain. Crow was a huge pickup for Nielsen six weeks ago, and her presence should help, but when will the company make Greg Farrar, the COO and current helmer, the CEO? Or when will they find a new one? We may see more top executives jump ship if this situation isn’t resolved soon.

2. Lerner left Nielsen for F+W, where he’ll head up the digital efforts. In a minor but slightly interesting twist, he’ll be working closely with Colin Ungaro, president of F+W’s magazine division. Ungaro is Crow’s old boss.
